How many
volcanoes in Costa Rica?
Costa Rica has 112 volcanoes,
five of which are active Rincón de la Vieja
(Guanacaste), Arenal (San Carlos), Poás (Alajuela), Irazú (Cartago)
y Turrialba (Turrialba). Whose origin is due to the subduction of the Placas del Coco y Caribe.
The country is located within the so-called “Pacific Ring of Fire“,
which includes most of the world’s volcanoes.
Most of
these volcanoes we do not know and many do not even have name,
but come and meet our volcanoes with Go Easy,
volcanic activity and really you will know a little of their history.
Did you
know: The country’s most active volcanoes in
the world are in Indonesia, with 200 activevolcanoes.
