On Tuesday
October 29 was held the 2013 Edition of the National Forum
on Health Tourism Expomedin Crowne Plaza Corobicí Hotel in San
Jose, Costa Rica.
The Expomed
2013 edition discuss and look for identify best practices in the field of international
health promotion and standards that should be guaranteed to protect
the image of Costa Rica. The opening activity began at 4pm in Chirripo
convention center of this San Jose Hotel and was attended by officials of
the Government of Costa Rica.
From 6pm at
same room began the forum including representatives of the candidates for President
of the Republic to discuss the theme: “The future of Costa
Rica as International Health Center. Mr. Otto
Guevara was the only candidate who appeared in person to participate
in this event.
The event
was supported by the Ministry of Health, the Pan American Health
Organization, the College of Physicians, Promed and Procomer.
Professionals in the sector of medical tourism as Jorge Cortespresident
of Promed, Dr. Christian Rivera and Mr.Jonathan Madrigal owner of Go Easy Tourism Solutions were
also present at the activity. The forum brought together health & Tourism
professionals, PYMES, investors and companies.
